Sketch of A Girl In A Bandanna
A study of a girl from the ground view. I used a contrast of warm and cool colors to make the girl and her bandanna pop! I like using cool colors in my illustration. With this study, I was able to map out features on the face, plus I played a bit with colors. Made with AutoDesk Sketchbook and a Huion tablet. More art @mira_anamae on Instagram!
I added some colors to the background using the opacity brush, making some loose strokes.
I added the lighting, using a yellow light. The warm tones in the light contrast well with the cool shadows, don't you think?
I added the shadows using a magenta color on a Multiply layer.
I laid in the flat colors. For her skin, I decided to vary the tones using a gradient.
The first stage. I used an opacity brush to lay out the first sketch.
